Monumental Question - Pc or Mac?

Oh no he didn't just ask that. Ah, the universal question that everybody has an opinion on. Well I'm about to give you mine.

Macs - Great computers overall. Almost impossible to get viruses on unless your a total idiot and try to download them knowingly. Only one big downside. Expensive with a capitol E.

Pc - What i have. Can be great computers overall. People think Macs are better because they can't get viruses. Well I say foohey to that. The only reason they think that, is because 70% of all PC owners don't have the proper security measures. If you want to find out how to get security for your PC, then just go and click on my other posts. It's that easy. Plus, you can buy PC's for sometimes half as less as Mac's. HALF!

I know this won't answer the question at all, and i don't expect it to. I'm just a dude giving my perspective on a question. Peace Out.

Basics - Volume #1 - Ram

No, not the goat with curly horns. I'm talking about the computer chips you put into your computer. Lots of people that ask me how to speed up their computer think that it's mostly due to their processor. Not true. While the processor does play a major role, it doesn't affect speed as much as RAM does. An amazing processor can easily burn and crash without enough RAM.
"What does RAM stand for?" Random Access Memory. Sounds confusing right? Well, let me put it to you in layman terms so you can understand it better. RAM is like energy we get from eating food. If we don't get enough, then we do things slower. Same goes for RAM. Without an adequate amount of RAM, you'll likely see things slow down.
"How do i get this sacred RAM?" Almost every major electronics store will carry it online or you could go to Frys (personal favorite).
"How do i find what kind of RAM I need?" Well, lucky for you, It's EASY. Just go to MemoryCheck . Then click check my system. This website will tell you what you need then let you buy it! Isn't that cool?

Basics - Volime #1 - Hijackers/Keyjackers

Hijackers and Keyjackers are just some different names for he same thing - a Thief. They have programs nowadays that will actually tell thieves what your typing. How is this bad you ask?

1. They can see your social security number.
2. Have access to any site you have an account on.
3. Credit card number. Gone.
4. Say Bye Bye Mr. American security.

Make sure you keep your anti-virus updated. Take some time to go on the FireFox website and download some security measures for your browser. Whats a few minutes of finding security if it saves you time and money? Have a good one.

Basics - Volume #1 - Antivirus

Viruses. The computer's arch-nemesis. If your computer is doing some zany stuff, it either means:

1. You are a zany person.
2. You have a virus of some sort.

To get rid of viruses, I'm going to recommend using Norton-AntiVirus. They are a good company, and have a reliable product. The only thing is that you must pay yearly. It's really not that much. But if you can't afford it, then use the free version of Avast. These 2 products will protect your information, and keep your mind on things other than worrying about viruses.

Basics - Volume #1 - Browsers

Internet Explorer. Ugh, I simply hate it. It makes me feel insecure, and vulnerable to attacks whenever I used to use it. If you Browse the internet often, then theres only one browser worthy of filling that spot. FireFox. This is probably the safest and Coolest web browser to date. Highly customizable. There are millions of things you can put on it. Tons of Skins(the outline and buttons of the browser). Using anything else would be like using a knife in a gun fight. The link is above. Please get it.

Basics - Volume #1 - Posture

Posture - They say you should sit straight up with your hands parallel to the ground. Well, in my case, I am as we speak leaned back in a reclining chair of the utmost comfort(with my keyboard in my lap), so don't feel like you have to be uncomfortable. Just find a position where you can be in a little comfort zone(be careful that you don't cramp up your back or legs) and you'll be fine. If your fanatic about chairs, buy one that has a cooler in the side and a nice toiletry(then you can live in your chair).

Basics - Volume #1 - Mouse

Ah, the beloved little mouse. It's what controls the arrow you see on your screen right now. I would recommend getting a wireless mouse, just so you aren't so limited as to the way you have to lean towards your desk. Just go to Amazon.com and get a cheap 10$ one(it's what I have). Also, if you do get a wireless one, I highly recommend getting a pack of rechargeable batteries and a charger. They will save you a lot of moolah and some trips to the nearest Walmart. This way you may need batteries for something besides your mouse, and you'll be prepared.

Basics - Volume #1 - Typing

Typing. Learning to type efficiently is the first step to making your computer experience much better. There are lots of free sites, and programs that will start you on the path to mastering the keyboard. Another great thing about learning to type is that you get to know and learn the keys(and shortcuts) that are possible. Once this is complete, it will make things such as emailing and writing research papers a breeze. It also makes blogging much more enjoyable. I'll even show you where to start. Learn2Type

Before we get to far in, I just want to take some time to tell you about some other great sites.

Mylot.com - Not a computer based site, but its all about blogging and getting ANY questions answered. I swear there is an answer for any question you can think of on there. Use this link to register. MyLot. Once you go to the site, you can register by clicking the sign-up link up at the top left.

TechCrunch.com - Are you a Nerd? Maybe a freak about knowing about all the newest gadgets and freakishly cool inventions. TechCrunch

CourtneyTuttle.com - Want to make a money making blog? This would be the place i recommend doing it at. The guy that runs it is a genius in my opinion. He has a video guide to making your own blog. I would seriously consider taking a look just to check it out. CourtneyTuttle

Google.com - If you are a just now being born or you were a hermit for the last 100 years, then let me introduce to Google. Similar to Yahoo(I hope to god you know what that is) Google is a search engine(my favorite, personally). If you need to find something on the web, then just type it in, click search, sit back and enjoy as it searches the world wide web endlessly just for you. Google

YouTube.com - Got the next great video and want to show the rest of the world? Well, YouTube would be the place to go. Make an account and start vlogging(video blogging) today! YouTube

MySpace.com - Have a lot of friends and want to show them all your cool pics of yourself you took in the mirror? MySpace is an online way of meeting new friends and keeping in touch with old ones. Check it out. MySpace

Black20.com - One of my personally favorite sites for lifting my spirits by making me laugh so hard my ribs hard. Just a bunch of videos to keep you laughing till your next paycheck. Black20

These are just of my favorites. If i made the list for every site that I think is great, then your page would probably take 15 extra minutes to load.
